Hi, I’m Stephanie. Author, dog mum, and the human behind a very mischievous and foody beagle.
It started with a beagle.
I didn’t plan to become a children’s book author. For years I worked in the corporate world: meetings, spreadsheets, strategy deck… all the things that look impressive on paper but might not exactly set your soul on fire.
Then Buddy arrived.
A beagle with oversized ears, zero regard for personal boundaries, and an absolute conviction that all the food in the house belongs to him. From the moment he bounded into my life, something shifted. I started seeing the world the way he does: full of mystery, mischief, and the most extraordinary adventures hiding in the most ordinary places.
The first story practically wrote itself. Then another. Then another.
Stories that stay with children long after the last page
Every book in the Buddy series is rooted in something real — a walk we took, a squirrel he terrorised, a morning he decided the postman was a genuine threat to national security.
But underneath the laughs, every story carries something a little deeper: that it’s okay to be curious, to be brave, to ask for help, and to find joy in the small moments of every day.
My books are for children who love dogs, families who love reading together, and teachers who want stories that spark conversation as well as giggles.

When I’m not writing…
You’ll find me on a seaside walk with Buddy, who treats every beach as a personal investigation zone. I’m based in Antwerp, Belgium — a city I love for its energy, its art, and the fact that Buddy has personally sniffed every cobblestone in the old town.
I believe children’s books matter more than we sometimes give them credit for. The right book at the right moment can make a child feel seen, brave, and less alone in the world. That’s what I’m trying to do — one Buddy adventure at a time.
